Batu Caves


20mins North of KL

Sri Subramaniar Swamy Templeat 43m statue of Murugan, painted in gold. At the top of the steps, is the Temple Cave, is a huge vault pierced by stalactites that are up to 6m long. KL central station Take the KTM train to Batu Caves last stop The tourist spot is at your sight after you exit the station.

4h North of KL

National park waterfalls, jungle treks, world’s longest canopy walkways, night walks safari, fishing, cave exploration, birds watching, deer, lizards, snakes. Alternative Borneo. Easy without a guide to explore as you get a decent maps.

Cameron Highlands


3½ h north of KL - day trip
Hill stations, first developed by the British in the 1920s. Jungle walks, the sanctuary is also known for its tea plantations. Mossy Forest thick carpet of moss, Parit Waterfall, Rafflesia Flower. The largest flower in the world only way to see is through a guided tour 1h drive from Cameron Highlands town. Robinson Rose Garden, Rose Centre & Rose Valley, Butterfly Garden 92p entrance fee.
